Police investigating shooting of teenager at Dewey Avenue and Castle Place

Buffalo police early Sunday evening were investigating the shooting of a male teenager that happened near the intersection of Dewey Avenue and Castle Place at about 1 p.m. According to Michael J. DeGeorge, Buffalo Police spokesman, the shooting victim was initially driven to Sisters Hospital with a gunshot wound.

The unidentified victim was taken from there by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
