Police: Motorcyclist who died near Riverside Park ran stop sign, was ejected

The motorcyclist killed Wednesday night ran a stop sign and was ejected from the bike when he collided with an SUV, Buffalo police said Thursday.

The crash happened at 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Roesch and Condon avenues near Riverside Park.

Police have not identified the 25-year-old Buffalo motorcyclist, who authorities said died at the scene. He was heading north on Condon at the time of the crash, police said.

Two female passengers in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals, according to police.

In an odd twist, police said someone removed the motorcycle from the scene before police arrived. A spokesman did not immediately provide further details on the circumstance surrounding the motorcycle.
