Barker Street apartment project receives incentives

Glendale Development, which plans to turn a warehouse on Barker Street into 21 market-rate apartments and commercial space, was approved by the Erie County Industrial Development Agency for about $243,000 in tax breaks.

The owners are Matthew Cherry and Harry Illenz. The project, which is west of Main Street, is estimated at nearly $5 million.
