Tielman has helped preserve our heritage
No one of our fellow citizens has given better service to the cause of wise conservation of the city’s built environment than Tim Tielman. (“Tielman is replaced on city Preservation Board,” May 18 News.) He has been the vocal opponent of the ill-informed and parochial views that over the years have led to the destruction of much of the city’s heritage of fine architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning.
Tielman has fought to preserve what is left of Buffalo’s unique character and nationally significant urban history and taught us how that past tradition can inform the city’s promising future.
