Want to help Children's Hospital move? Here's how to volunteer.

People are calling it the Big Move to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

The one-mile move from Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo on Bryant Street to the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital at Ellicott and High streets in November is a major undertaking.

So major that Kaleida Health, which operates the hospital, put out a bulletin on its website looking for move day volunteers.

"We need all hands on deck," Kaleida said in its announcement to recruit interested community members to help with the historic move to the medical campus.

Anyone interested in helping can complete an online volunteer form on Kaleida's website.

The hospital's volunteer services department plans to contact prospective volunteers as the move day approaches with specific details for assignments.

Questions should be directed to KPerillo@kaleidahealth.org.

Kaleida has not yet identified the actual date in November that hospital operations will be moved and Oishei formally opened.
