2 political newcomers endorsed by City of Tonawanda Democratic Committee

City of Tonawanda Mayor Rick Davis topped the list of candidates endorsed for Common Council by the city's Democratic Committee.

The Committee announced its endorsed candidates for the November election on Thursday.

The Committee endorsed two political newcomers, Dawn Kammerdeiner, for the Second Ward and David Mileham, for the Fourth Ward.

Kammerdeiner is involved in many community groups, including PTA, football and little league. Mileham is a coordinator for staff development at Erie 1 BOCES, taught at Fletcher Elementary School, is involved in community service and is a former volunteer firefighter.

The committee also endorsed incumbent Third Ward Councilman Sean Rautenstrauch for re-election. He is completing his first term on the board and has a background in internet technology.
