Brandon Beane continues to add brain power to the Buffalo Bills' front office.
Beane, the Bills' new general manager, announced the hiring of five new scouts Friday afternoon as the team continues to rebuild its personnel department. Included in the new hires is Dennis Hickey, former general manager of the Miami Dolphins. He will serve as a Senior College Scout for the Bills. Prior to his stint as the Dolphins' GM from 2014-15, he worked 18 years for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers including three as director of player personnel. Hickey's time in South Florida overlapped with that of Joe Schoen, who was hired recently by the Bills as assistant general manager.
The Bills also brought back three members of their personnel department who were not retained last month after the NFL Draft. Veteran scout Doug Majeski, who has been with the team for 28 years, was hired as West Area Scout. Brian Fisher, who joined the team in 2007, returns as a Midwest college scout. Gerald Dixon is back in the same role as a Pro Scout which he was originally hired for in 2014.
Additionally, the Bills hired Curtis Rukavina as a Pro Scout. He last served as the Director of Player Personnel for the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts.
