Orchard Park police on Wednesday charged a man who they said chased a vehicle and deployed a stun gun one of its occupants.
Michael D. Overton, 18, of Orchard Park, was arrested a few hours later while he was attending an Orchard Park Town Board meeting, police said.
A woman called police at about 5 p.m. to say she and her boyfriend were driving in town and being followed by a man they didn't know. After Overton "apparently chased their vehicle down with his vehicle," police said, both drivers pulled over to the side of the road.
That was when Overton pulled out a stun gun and used it on the other man, according to police.
When Overton was arrested, police found a stun gun inside his vehicle, police said.
Overton was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Orchard Park Town Court and released on bail, according to police.
