We have another name for summer in the Buffalo area: We call it festival season.

From one-day neighborhood lawn fetes and carnivals where you seem to know everyone, to the large multi-day events that attract hundreds of thousands, festivals are happening every week throughout the summer. To help you plan out these rites of summer, Gusto will again be publishing its annual Festival Guide.

If you are an organizer of a festival or similar community event that is open to the public and has activities, food and entertainment, you can be part of the Gusto Festival Guide. Just send us all of your information via our online submission form at buffalonews.com/submit. Under Category, be sure to select "festival" to make sure it is included. The guide will be published in the Gusto print edition on June 15 and also will be online at buffalonews.com. Deadline for submissions is June 8.
