Buffalo man released from hospital after overnight shooting

A 20-year-old Buffalo man was shot in the arm shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Rickert Avenue, according to a Buffalo police spokesman.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he was treated and released, the spokesman said.

Rickert Avenue runs off Northland Avenue between Fillmore Avenue and the Kensington Expressway.

Police ask anyone with information to call or text the department's confidential tip line at 847-2255.
