Police: Driver on wrong side of street had 0.27 BAC

An Angola woman driving on the wrong side of the street Sunday in the City of Tonawanda had a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit, according to police.

Police stopped Dawn Cristiano, 45, at about 2:10 a.m. when she was seen driving on the wrong side of Highland Avenue, according to City of Tonawanda authorities.

Cristiano registered a BAC of 0.27 percent, police said.

Police charged her with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, driving on the wrong side of the roadway and making an improper turn. She was held on $250 bail, police said.
