Kensington Avenue man arrested for early morning assault

Anthony B. Jackson Sr., 45, was arrested by Buffalo Police early Sunday morning shortly after he allegedly beat and choked a woman during an argument in his Kensington Avenue home.

Jackson was charged with second-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing for allegedly striking the woman with a billy club after allegedly choking her as they reportedly argued about 3:30 a.m., according to the complaint lodged by the woman.

The woman, according to a Buffalo Police arrest report, claimed Jackson began choking her and allegedly threatened to kill her as they got into a heated argument in his house. Police said she was treated in Buffalo General Medical Center for back injuries and other injuries.

Jackson was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment, according to an arrest report.
