City of Tonawanda Republicans endorse Toth for mayor

A month after Councilman Tim Toth announced his plans to run for mayor, the City of Tonawanda Republican Committee has announced its lineup of endorsements for the entire City Council, with Toth at the top of its ticket.

Toth, currently serving his first term as councilman representing the Fourth Ward, is a retired 24-year veteran of the City of Tonawanda Police Department. He would challenge Mayor Rick Davis, a Democrat, who is expected to run for a second four-year term.

Toth will be joined on the ticket by incumbent First Ward Councilman Charles Gilbert.

Also receiving endorsements for Council seats are: Second Ward, Blake Boyle; Third Ward, Michael Young; and Fourth Ward, Sharon Stuart.
