Buffalo woman jailed on 2-year-old charges after Amherst traffic stop

After an early morning traffic stop in Amherst, Jasmine B. Reed, 23, of Buffalo, was jailed in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or a $10,000 bail bond by Town Justice Geoffrey K. Klein.

Reed was pulled over while driving in the 2200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

After a warrant check, Amherst police took her into custody on a 2-year-old arrest warrant. Reed pleaded not guilty during arraignment, and she was was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending further proceedings.

Neither Amherst Police officials nor Amherst town court officials would reveal the nature of the 2015 warrant.
