Lockport woman pleads guilty in double stabbing

A woman who stabbed a man and a woman in a City of Lockport fight last year faces as long as eight years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday.

Laurie A. Morley, 53, of Crestwood Drive, admitted to two reduced counts of attempted second-degree assault. The fight occurred about 5 p.m. Aug. 22 in front of an apartment house at 198 Pine St.

The victims were Julonda Brown and Marcus Townsend, whose injuries were regarded as the more severe of the two. He suffered multiple stab wounds and was treated in Erie County Medical Center, while Brown was treated in Eastern Niagara Hospital.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. will pass sentence on Morley Aug. 3.
