Letter: Quality of care suffers while the elite get richer

Quality of care suffers while the elite get richer

How can politicians tell us they believe in the sanctity of life and then deprive the needy of proper health care?

The following surpluses were reported for 2016: HealthNow (BlueCross parent), $4.2 million; Independent Health, $13 million; Excellus (Univera parent), $99.5 million; Kaleida Health, $30 million; Catholic Health, $27 million.

Yet they call the Affordable Care Act a failure!
