Police: North Tonawanda woman flips car after fight with boyfriend

A North Tonawanda woman leaving the scene of a domestic incident Thursday morning in the City of Tonawanda lost control of her car, hit a building and flipped her vehicle over, police said.

Angelina A. Schara, 26, of Sisson Drive, was involved in a dispute with her boyfriend at about 7 a.m. near the corner of East Niagara Street and Fillmore Avenue when she got in the car and drove down Fillmore, City of Tonawanda police said.

Just down the street, Schara drove into some decorative boulders in front of the Inner Harbor Yacht Club, 50 Fillmore Ave., and then clipped the building before her Nissan Altima flipped, police said.

Schara was treated and released from Erie County Medical Center for scrapes to her leg. She was charged with imprudent speed, fourth-degree criminal mischief, driving without a license, driving without insurance, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to stay in a driving lane, police said.
