This is what I'm thinking:
It is hardly surprising that the popular daytime program "Live with Kelly and Ryan" has picked Niagara Falls, Ont. rather than the New York side of the Falls as the location for episodes that will run June 5 and June 6.
After all, many Western New Yorkers take visiting friends and relatives to the Canadian side because it has more spectacular views than the American side.
It also is the third time in more than two decades that "Live" has decided to pick the Canadian side over the American side.
It will be the first time since Kelly Ripa chose former "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest as her co-host. Seacrest was named to the job last week.
The two episodes will be produced from the Oakes Garden Theatre, which has panoramic views of the American and Horseshoe Falls that were shown in previous "Live" visits in 1996 and 2006.
In an ABC release announcing the program is coming, Michael Gelman, the show's executive producer, is quoted as saying : "’Live’ has had a wonderful relationship with the city and the people of Niagara Falls. Our two previous visits are among our favorite ‘Live’ remote broadcasts… There are few places on earth with such spectacular natural beauty. The falls provide a stunning backdrop for the show, and the audiences always have been warm and welcoming. We were very happy to be invited back, and are looking forward to returning in June.”
ABC said ticket information is available on KellyandRyan.com, the "Live" website.
