Hear that A? It's the talented musicians of the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra, tuning up for another concert.
Ansgarius Aylward -- the orchestra's music director, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's assistant concertmaster, has assembled a concert full of Romantic music. The afternoon begins with Brahms' "Tragic" Overture. Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, known as the "Italian" for its graceful melodies and light textures. Rimsky-Korsakov's "Russian Easter Overture" gives the concert a Russian twist.
The concert features a violin soloist, Christophe Koenig. Koenig, who has appeared on the radio show "From the Top," will be playing the first movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto.
