North Park man accused of hitting woman in head with frying pan

A 20-year-old North Park man is charged with criminal mischief and harassment after police say he hit a woman in the head with a frying pan and destroyed her coffee table, stand-up mirror, a picture frame, a 73-inch TV and a 32-inch TV.

Buffalo police say the items are worth about $2,400 in all. The criminal mischief charge is a felony.

The woman who reported the incident said it started at 8 a.m. Sunday at her home on Esser Avenue in Riverside. Police later arrested Martino C. Carter, of Norwalk Avenue. A police report doesn't describe the relationship between the two nor does it say why Carter did what he is accused of doing.
