Morning Pitch: Bisons and Lehigh Valley set for a doubleheader

The weather looks a bit frightful for baseball, but the Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to play a doubleheader on Saturday after a rain out on Friday.

Today's game: 12:35 p.m. (Gates open at noon)

Weather: The challenging forecast continues. According to weather.com Saturday will bring periods of rain. High 44. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Promotion: Annual Dog Day at the Park.  At 12:20 there will be a dog parade on the field. All dogs must enter through center field and are able to sit in the centerfield party area, Bully Hill party deck, or right field seating area.

Top prospects: The IronPigs have three of the top five rated prospects in the Philadelphia Phillies organization according to MLB.com. J.P. Crawford is the No. 1 rated prospect in the organization but the shortstop is batting just .153. Catcher Jorge Alfaro is rated third and is batting .318 while outfielder Nick Williams is ranked fourth and hitting .267.

Bisons' first baseman Rowdy Tellez is the fifth-ranked prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays organization while outfielder Dwight Smith, Jr., is 26th.
