An Orchard Park was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated Tuesday night after a breath test showed his blood alcohol content was four times the legal limit for drinking and driving, town police said.
At about 9:35 p.m., police on patrol on New Taylor Road saw a vehicle make an improper right turn and attempted to stop the vehicle. The police put on lights and the siren but the vehicle continued going to a private driveway on Imperial Drive.
Michael A. Zilak, 57, "showed multiple signs of intoxication and failed all standardized field sobriety tests," police said in a statement.
Zilak, who was convicted of aggravated DWI in 2012 in the Town of Hamburg, was charged with DWI, two counts of aggravated DWI, improper right turn and failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle.
