LeSean McCoy has a clear favorite in Bills' GM search

Brett Veach makes sense as a candidate for the Buffalo Bills' opening at general manager.

Just ask LeSean McCoy.

The Bills' running back threw his support behind Veach on Wednesday, doing so in a series of tweets.

Veach, currently the co-director of player personnel for the Kansas City Chiefs, started his NFL career in Philadelphia, so he has a previous relationship with both McCoy and Bills coach Sean McDermott, who was the Eagles in several different roles from 1999 to 2010. Veach started his career in Philadelphia as an assistant to Andy Reid from 2007 to 2009 before moving to the scouting staff in 2010. He followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013, and has been in his current role for two seasons.

The Bills have so far requested permission to interview Panthers assistant GM Brandon Beane and Houston Texans director of player personnel Brian Gaine.
