Small and medium-sized business owners in upstate New York feel more upbeat about the outlook for their individual businesses than they do about the regional economy, according to a new survey by Citizens Bank.
Rhode Island-based Citizens conducted its first-ever Small Business Pulse Survey of 1,200 businesses across the states it serves.
Of all businesses surveyed, 51 percent expected the national economy to improve over the next 12 months, and 46 percent expected their regional economy to improve.
Citizens ranks No. 5 in the Buffalo Niagara region in deposit market share.
