Letter: Trump’s budget ignores our rising national debt

Trump’s budget ignores our rising national debt

President Trump just put forth a wish list of tax cuts for the rich, the middle class and corporations. Since our national debt is in the trillions, is Trump saying debt doesn’t matter? Why do we think electing a person gives him magical powers to cut taxes and not come up with an alternative revenue stream that is not borrowing?

If the people are not charged enough (this means taxes) who is to pay for a multitrillion-dollar federal government? Will it be more borrowing from China or another country stupid enough to loan money to a country that uses taxes as a political chip?
