Far too many lives have been lost on Route 219

How many more people have to die before we complete Route 219? One only has to drive the road once to see the reminders of past carnage and lives lost. The lower section of Route 219 is a poorly built road, handling far more traffic than it was ever designed for. The results of our inaction can be found in the form of crosses, accident reports, notifications of death in the newspaper and the ongoing supply of crushed and broken car parts found along the way.

I am 49 years old and commute Route 219 daily. Rather than enjoy my trip to and from work, I am left wondering: Am I next?
