A 58-year-old Elma woman was transported by Mercy Flight after a two-car crash that also injured four Orchard Park teens Sunday night in Elma, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Milestrip and Willardshire roads, said Chief John Greenan.
The initial results of an investigation show one of the two vehicles involved in the crash ran a stop sign, Greenan said.
A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old was heading east on Milestrip when it collided with a vehicle driven by Joan Matter, authorities said. Matter was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. The crash also snapped a telephone pole and one of the vehicles wound up on the lawn of a home on Willardshire, Greenan said.
The 17-year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo. His three passengers were identified only as a 14-year-old male, a 14-year-old female and 13-year-old female, according to the Sheriff's Office.
None of the five injured appears to have suffered life-threatening injuries, Greenan said.
Three of those involved suffered "serious" injuries, while the other two suffered injuries deemed not to be serious, though authorities did not specify the extent of each individual's injuries.
Matter, the 14-year-old male and the 13-year-old female were taken to ECMC. The 14-year-old female was taken to Women & Children's Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
