Rochester man killed at basketball tourney in West Seneca

A Rochester man was shot to death Saturday evening at a girls basketball game in what West Seneca police called an apparent domestic dispute.

The victim, identified as Robert Echols, 54,  was shot multiple times in the entrance of  the Niagara Frontier Sports Complex, 425 Meyer Road, where a girls AAU basketball tournament game had just finished, police said.

The suspect, Andre M. Lewis, 39, also of Rochester, was scheduled to be arraigned on one count of second-degree murder in West Seneca Justice Court on Sunday, police said.
