The Buffalo Bills added to their quarterback depth by using a fifth-round pick, 171st overall, on Nathan Peterman from the University of Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-2, 226-pound Peterman will join a depth chart behind Tyrod Taylor that includes T.J. Yates and Cardale Jones.
In 37 career games, he completed 398 of 663 passes for 5,236 yards and 47 touchdowns, with 17 interceptions.
Peterman was a two-year starter for the Panthers after failing to beat out Josh Dobbs as a starter at Tennessee. His best season came in 2016 when, in 13 starts, he completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 2,855 yards and 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
