Amherst man with Alzheimer's reported missing

The Erie County Sheriff's Office put out a "Silver Alert" on Friday in connection with an Amherst man who is missing and reported to be suffering from Alzheimer's disease, dementia or related cognitive disorders, according to authorities.

Paul M. Cieslak, 63, was last seen at 163 South Union Road, Amherst, authorities said.

Cieslak is described as 6' 1" tall and about 220 lbs., with white hair and blue eyes.

According to the Sheriff's Office, he was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a black coat with fur trim, a red hat and black sneakers.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Cieslak, or who knows of his whereabouts, to call the Amherst Police Department at 689-1311.
