Wavves to ride into the Tralf Music Hall

Indie-rock act Wavves' just-announced tour will include a Buffalo stop at 8 p.m. May 19 in the Tralf Music Hall (622 Main St.).

The project of San Diego musician Nathan Williams, Wavves has shifted away from its early noise-pop days into a brand of a messy, surf-infused pop-punk.

Williams and crew will complete their opening gig supporting Blink-182 this April before getting right back on the road for a headlining batch of dates to support the forthcoming new record "You're Welcome." The album, coincidentally, is set to drop on May 19 as well.

Tickets are $15 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. April 28 (box office, Ticketmaster or charge by phone at 852-2860). Further event details can be found here.
