Amherst Democrats endorse candidates for justice, Town Board, county legislator

The Amherst Democratic Committee has made its endorsements of candidates for town justice, Town Board and Erie County legislator.

The committee endorsed Kara Buscaglia for a second four-year term as town justice; Shawn Lavin and Jacqualine Berger for two open seats on the Amherst Town Board; and Thomas Loughran for the 5th Erie County Legislative District.

The endorsements were made Tuesday night at Amherst Democratic headquarters on Sheridan Drive.

The committee earlier this month endorsed Williamsville Mayor Brian Kulpa for town supervisor. The committee's only remaining endorsement is for the 6th Erie County Legislative District, which includes part of the Town of Amherst and the towns of Clarence and Newstead.
