Jamestown police arrest eight on various charges

The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force arrested five people on drug-related charges after a 6 a.m. raid Thursday on a house at 853 Pendergast Ave., authorities said.

A search of the lower apartment turned up more than three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, $3,570 cash and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Five people were arrested at the site, including Angel L. Ortiz-Rodriguez, 39; Elizabeth Rodriguez, 41; Steven Eliel Rodriguez, 23; Telly Ortiz Jr., 20 and Joshua C. Stam, 23, according to authorities. Each was charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana, authorities said.

Stam was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to authorities.

Three other people were taken into police custody outside the residence, after police said they became disorderly. They included Eileen Rodriguez, 20, Hector Montanez, 31, and Duane R. Sikes, 47, according to authorities. All three were charged with disorderly conduct.

Eileen Rodriguez and Montanez were both additionally charged with obstructing governmental administration, authorities said.
