April 26 WNY Driver of The Week: Chad Brachmann

Age: 42.

Hometown: Sanborn.

Division: 358 Modifieds/Ransomville/Merrittville Speedways.

Lowdown: Brachmann is again racing in the 358 Modified class this season. At Ransomville, he will drive his Brachmann Racing family owned machine and at Merrittville he will steer the Chris Bellamy owned entry. When not competing in the 358 Modifieds, Brachmann will make select appearances in Big-Block Modified dirt track competition.

Achievements: Brachmann has earned numerous honors in his long career. He captured Sportsman championships at Ransomville in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001 and at Merrittville in 1999, 2000, 2001. He was the 2001 Mr. DIRT.car Sportsman Series  champion and won the Super DIRT Week Sportsman event at Syracuse in 1998. He is the 358 Modified champion at Ransomville in 2011 and at Merrittville in 2008 and 2015. In 2015 he won a Super DIRT.car Big-Block Modified Series race at Oshweken Speedway and also the Super DIRT.car 358 Modified Series race at Ransomville in 2014. Brachmann is the 2013 BRP Big-Block Modified champion.

Hobbies: When not racing, Brachmann loves to be on his tractor working on the family farm he owns.
