O’Reilly is innocent until proven guilty
Let me touch on four things from the April 21 News.
First, the editorial cartoon about Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News: Until the charges are proven, Fox News should reinstate him posthaste.
Next, the letter about immigration: My father came from Barbados over 50 years ago, taking the proper steps to eventually become a U.S. citizen. If taking the rightful steps was the standard then, why not now?
Then, the letter for tax funding to PBS: That’s why we have Science Channel, Bravo, Weather Channel, A&E and Nickelodeon. Even HBO is airing/producing “Sesame Street.” If all the other networks are self-sustaining, PBS should no longer be the network that’s “not like the others.”
Finally, about Terry Pegula: He needs to get rid of the Ralph Wilson era hangers-on such as Russ Brandon, Doug Whaley and Jim Overdorf. Pegula’s the new owner of the Bills and Sabres, and should therefore bring in people who know how to win championships, and stop doing things based on “economics” or “nostalgia.” The fans are tired of their teams falling short every year. It’s time to do right by the fans and bring home a winner!
