NFL Draft position grades: Defensive tackles

[2017 Draft Rankings: WR | QB | RBTE | OL | CB | S | LB | DT | Edge]

DEFENSIVE TACKLES

Class grade: C. Solomon Thomas could be classified as an edge rusher, but can move inside, as well, so he’s listed here. Allen is the top “true” defensive tackle, but he also has the versatility to play defensive end. There are some concerns about a shoulder injury with him. After that, the class drops off – just two or three more defensive tackles are expected to be picked in the first two rounds. … Florida’s Caleb Brantley was charged with misdemeanor battery just days ago for allegedly punching a woman. He could easily fall to Day Three, or out of the draft altogether now.
