NFL Draft position grades: Cornerbacks

[2017 Draft Rankings: WR | QB | RBTE | OL | CB | S | LB | DT | Edge]

CORNERBACKS

Grade: A. Don’t be fooled if only a few cornerbacks go in the first round. The reason for that would be teams feeling like they can wait and get a starting-caliber player into Day Three of the draft. Several draft analysts have called this one of the deepest classes ever at the position. “You can go 30, 35 deep in terms of corners that can play in this league this year. This is an extraordinary year because of the depth,” said ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. That’s good news for a Bills team that lost Stephon Gilmore and Nickell Robey-Coleman this offseason.
