Juicy Burger Bar, the Hamburg hamburger specialist, is moving next door to double its size.
It will still have 1 Buffalo St. as an address, but its new digs will occupy a prime corner spot, offer a bigger bar and sidewalk seating in good weather.
"We're doing it so we can be a better restaurant, and by popular demand," said Executive Chef Andrew Murtha, who oversees Juicy in addition to the upscale Carte Blanche. "Right now we have people waiting in the atrium for an hour to get a burger."
The restaurant is taking over the space formerly occupied by Anytime Fitness. Seating will increase from about 30 to 80, with about 20 seats at a new bar and with more room for people to socialize, Murtha said.
The move also will address other restaurant needs, such as an employee changing area, storage, and a walk-in cooler. Outside, Juicy will add patio seating, open in good weather.
The menu will add healthy options, like more salads and vegetarian options, plus plates to share. Desserts from Colleen Stillwell of Butter Block and milkshakes are also planned.
The new place should open by July, Murtha said.
