A Girard Street man was arrested by Buffalo police about 11 p.m. Saturday when he pulled in to a gas station in the 2700 block of Bailey Avenue in a car allegedly stolen from a Buffalo man.
Jordan Hairston, 23, was charged with felony counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree grand larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree unauthorized used of a car.
The suspect, police said, left the keys in the car when he saw police coming toward him and tried to escape.
Police said Hairston also had a fully loaded handgun and cellphone that belonged to the owner of the vehicle.
Hairston remained in custody in Erie County Holding Center Sunday night, pending Buffalo City Court proceedings.
