Morning Pitch: Saturday afternoon game for the Bisons and Columbus

The Buffalo Bisons continue their homestand and series with the Columbus Clippers. Here's what you need to know for today's game:

Today's game: 1:05 p.m. (Gates open at noon)

Weather: A cool but nice day on tap according to weather.com. Mostly cloudy skies. High 53. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph

Promotion: Foul Ball Day. Prizes will be given out for each foul ball hit into the stands.

Probables: Lefty T.J. House (2-0, 0.77) for Buffalo. Righty Mike Clevinger (2-0, 0.47) for Columbus.

Last game: The Bisons belted out 13 hits and earned a 9-3 win over the Clippers to open the three-game series.

Quick hits: Bisons 9, Columbus 3

Top prospects: The top-rated prospect in the Cleveland Indians organization comes to town with Columbus. Bradley Zimmer was a first-round pick by the Indians in 2014. Shortstop Erik Gonzlez is the eighth-rated prospect.

Familiar face: Chris Colabello is playing for the Clippers. The 33-year-old played with the Bisons in 2015 before being promoted to the Blue Jays. After serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, he spent most of his playing days of 2016 with the Herd, hitting .180 in 40 games with Buffalo.

The homestand: The Bisons and Clippers play three games: Friday (6:05 p.m.), Saturday (1:05 p.m.) and Sunday (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has an off-day on Monday then starts a six-game road trip on Tuesday.
