The Buffalo Bisons get back on the field Friday night, opening a three-game series with the Columbus Clippers (the affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.)

Today's game: 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)

Weather: Cloudy and becoming windy, according to weather.com. High 49. Winds SW at 20 to 30 mph.

Promotion: It's the first fridaynightbash! of the season with post-game fireworks.

Probables: Mike Bolsinger (0-1, 4.15) is scheduled to start for the Herd against Columbus lefty Chris Narveson (0-1, 1.32).

Last game: The Herd's series finale with Norfolk was rained out.

Top prospects: The top-rated prospect in the Cleveland Indians organization comes to town with Columbus. Bradley Zimmer was a first-round pick by the Indians in 2014. Shortstop Erik Gonzlez is the eighth-rated prospect.

Familiar face: Chris Colabello is playing for the Clippers. The 33-year-old played with the Bisons in 2015 before being promoted to the Blue Jays. After serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, he spent most of his playing days of 2016 with the Herd, hitting .180 in 40 games with Buffalo.

The homestand: The Bisons and Clippers play three games: Friday (6:05 p.m.), Saturday (1:05 p.m.) and Sunday (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has an off-day on Monday then starts a six-game road trip on Tuesday.
