The authority, controlled by the Republican Party because the Republicans control the County Legislature, has:
• Awarded Zeppelin Communications LLC a contract worth up to $5,000 a month. Zeppelin is controlled by Republican political strategist Michael Caputo.
• Turned to former county Republican Party Chairman James Domagalski to work as its “senior counsel” at an hourly rate. Domagalski is with the Barclay Damon LLP law firm, which has served as the Water Authority’s bond counsel.
