WNY NORML sponoring Freedom Festival Saturday at Delaware Park

An organization promoting the legalization of marijuana in New York State will hold the Freedom Festival Saturday in Delaware Park.

WNY NORML, the regional chapter of the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws, said the festival is both recreational and educational, and will feature musicians and vendors. Freedom Festival gets underway at noon near the steps area of Hoyt Lake off Lincoln Parkway.

The Buffalo March for Science will get underway at 3:30 p.m. and proceed to the Ivy Bridge area of Delaware Park, where the festival will resume at 3:45 p.m. and continue to 8 p.m.

WNY NORML advocates an end to marijuana prohibition and sees the cannabis plant as beneficial on a number of fronts, including as a nutritional supplement with medicinal benefits and in manufacturing.

Local merchants interested in becoming vendors can contact info@wnynorml.org. Additional information is available online at www.wnynorml.org.

Those planning to attend Freedom Festival are encouraged to RSVP on the group’s Facebook page, WNY NORML.
