Candidate for new train station to be discussed Monday near project site

Plans for a new train station by the Campaign for Greater Buffalo History, Architecture & Culture will be presented at 12:30 p.m. Monday in One Seneca Tower Auditorium, Main and Seneca streets. The auditorium lobby overlooks the project site.

Tim Tielman, executive director of the campaign, will talk about the proposed station, and how it is part of a larger transportation-oriented plan for the Canal District and lower Main Street, called Buffalo Nexus.

The proposed station is believed to be on the short list for a new train station, which is expected to be announced on Thursday. The event is free and open to the public.
