Goose spotted with arrow in neck still on the loose

The SPCA Serving Erie County said a goose has been spotted with an arrow in its neck in Amherst, and it is looking for help in locating the injured waterfowl.

The SPCA said calls have been received from people claiming to see the goose for about a month, and the state Department of Environmental Conservation said the bird is still able to fly, according to various media reports.

Anyone seeing the goose is asked to call the SPCA at 875-7360, or Amherst Police Animal Control at 689-1311.
