Buffalo State student stabbed in the back in campus parking lot

A SUNY Buffalo State student was stabbed in the back in a college parking lot early Sunday, authorities said.

The student, who was treated in Erie County Medical Center and released, told police he was stabbed from behind around 3 a.m. in an overnight parking lot for students and staff at Rees Street and Rockwell Road.

Further details were not released. Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call University Police at (716) 878-6333. Buffalo Police also are investigating.
