2-year-old boy struck by pickup at Clarence outdoor market

A 2-year-old boy was injured when he darted into the path of a pickup about 11 a.m. Sunday at Antique World on Main Street in Clarence, State Police said.

The boy, who suffered pelvic and leg injuries not considered life-threatening, was taken to Women & Children's Hospital, where he was to undergo surgery, police said.

The boy was with his parents when he emerged from a garage and was hit by the pickup, a front tire running over him, police added. The driver, identified only as a 50-year-old Clarence man, faces no charges.
