Brock Blecha had his no-hitter spoiled with one out in the seventh, but came up with the complete-game win for Franklinville as the Panthers defeated Pioneer, 9-0, in a non-league baseball matchup Friday. Belcha struck out 12 to earn the win while offensively going 3 for 4 and driving in two runs.
Noah Mouton had the game-winning RBI as Tonawanda won a 13-12 slugfest over Kenmore East. Mouton knocked in Tyler Buczkowski for the winning run. Mouton finished 3 for 3 while Buczkowski drove in two runs with a triple.
Adam Wood threw a complete-game four-hitter and Brian Cybulski drove in four runs on four hits as Alden defeated Batavia, 13-2.
In non-league softball, Brooke Strausbaugh pitched a complete-game three-hitter as Alden defeated Newfane, 12-2. Strausbaugh struck out 13 hitters. Jenna Wlostowski drove in three runs while Maddy Gadd drove in two.
Torrie Jenkins drove in two runs with three hits, including a double and a triple, as Cheektowaga edged Medina, 8-7. Paige Onisk drove in a run going 2 for 4 with a triple.
