Trump refused to help, so why avenge deaths?
The sarin attack by President Bashar Assad on the people of Idlib, Syria, is abhorrent. But let us not forget: President Trump campaigned heavily against the United States accepting refugees seeking to flee the horrors of their country’s civil war.
Every one of those “beautiful babies” and “innocent men and women” whose death he laments might have been seeking refuge in America. Every one of them might have been turned away from our borders because of his hateful executive order.
If it was not in our “national interest” to protect their lives, why is it in our national interest to avenge their deaths?
