There are good reasons to oppose this president
A recent letter writer says, “It is inconceivable why any true American would desire and actively work toward the failure of the current administration.” If the current administration succeeds, here are only a few of the things we will see:
More than 24 million people will lose their health insurance. Many of them will die as a result, while others will suffer.
Air and water pollution will increase, leading to additional deaths and suffering and degradation of the environment.
Public schools will be in even more trouble than they are now.
The rich will get richer while the poor get poorer.
This partial list of administration successes certainly makes it conceivable to me that we should hope for its failure. Such a stance is not unpatriotic. It is, in fact, in the best interest of our country.
